Mike Hirtle

With a Masters degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford, Mike Hirtle is one of the few true rocket scientists in the toy and game business. A 35-year industry veteran, Mr. Hirtle started his career at Mattel as a flying toy inventor. In 1977 he ran the Technical Design Department of Fisher-Price Toys, and in 1982, headed up the R&D Department of Tyco Toys. From 1993 to 1998 he worked at inventing/licensing company Seven Towns, then worked at Hasbro until 2011, heading up their Inventor Relations and Product Acquisition Department. Retiring in 2011, Mr. Hirtle now runs his consulting company, Paladin, with the slogan “Have Game - Will Travel.”
